DescriptionBill Lewis. After 23 years chairman of the Lower Hutt City Day nursery trust board, Mr. Bill Lewis has bowed out. The day nursery operates on the top floor of the transport Centre and was formed through the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce. With the assistance of Hutt City Council the Jaycees, and 800 pounds raised from the business community the nursery was launched. Mayor Kennedy Good thanked Mr. Lewis for his long and fruitful service. The mayor presented him with a copy of the city's history, "Once upon a village" and a pair of cuff links bearing the city emblem.
